
SPRINGFIELD — Don’t look now, but things are starting to come together for first-year coach Blake Zito’s Bulldogs.
Three players scored in double figures to spark Springfield to a 59-32 win over Pine on Tuesday, giving the Bulldogs their fourth straight win.
Bryce Johnson, who had a game-high 25 points, scored 12 in the opening quarter as the Bulldogs led 16-14.
Springfield (4-2) put the game away in the second quarter with a 21-2 run, sparked by 8 points from Collin Hayden, who finished with 10 points.
With a 37-16 lead at the half, four players scored in the third quarter as the Bulldogs led 49-27 going into the final period.
Isiah Jackson scored 14 points for the Bulldogs with at least one basket in every quarter.
The Bulldogs played at East Iberville on Thursday, and travel to face Loranger on Friday at 6 p.m.
